KS3 support

Strengthening the knowledge needed before GCSE courses become more demanding

KS3 tuition helps students keep up with school topics, fix gaps from primary school and build the habits they will need at GCSE. Lessons follow what is being taught at school, with extra time for practice, questions and feedback.

  • Support with current class topics and homework
  • Closing gaps from KS2 before they grow
  • Building confidence with more demanding work
  • Preparing for the step up to GCSE

Why KS3 is the right time to act

Years 7 to 9 introduce the ideas that GCSE courses build on: algebra, ratio and proportion, reading longer texts, structured writing, and the core concepts in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

Gaps left unaddressed in KS3 become harder to close in Year 10 and 11. Our KS3 tuition strengthens the foundations early so students start GCSE study confident and prepared.

  • Maths: number, algebra, ratio, geometry and data
  • English: comprehension, inference, grammar and structured writing
  • Science: key concepts and vocabulary across Biology, Chemistry and Physics
  • Study habits: homework routines, organisation and revision skills
